Job Description

HiPo Talent Partners is partnered with an industry-leading manufacturer with more than 100 years of innovation and a reputation as a category leader in engineered industrial equipment. Due to continued growth and an upcoming retirement, our client is seeking two customer-focused Aftermarket Technical Sales Executives to support and grow relationships across an established installed customer base.

This is a hands-on technical sales opportunity focused on helping existing customers maximize the performance and lifecycle of their equipment through OEM replacement parts, assemblies, consumables, service, upgrades, and technical training.

The role is an excellent fit for someone who already has industrial sales experience, as well as a technically minded professional from applications engineering, service, or another customer-facing technical role who is interested in developing further into sales.

• Manage day-to-day aftermarket sales activity across an assigned group of existing customers and installed equipment.
• Serve as a primary customer contact for replacement parts, assemblies, consumables, service, equipment upgrades, and training needs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and develop accurate, technically appropriate quotations and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for replacement, replenishment, upgrades, service, and other lifecycle solutions within the installed base.
• Follow up on open quotes and opportunities to help drive aftermarket revenue and repeat business.
• Review customer requirements, application details, technical documentation, and purchase orders to determine appropriate solutions.
• Communicate pricing, product availability, lead times, order status, and delivery updates to customers.
• Build strong customer relationships through responsive communication, technical credibility, and consistent follow-up.
• Partner closely with Account Executives responsible for capital equipment to ensure a smooth transition from the initial equipment sale into ongoing aftermarket support.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Service, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management on more complex technical requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer, quotation, pipeline, and opportunity information within CRM and ERP systems.
• Help resolve order changes, returns, delivery issues, and other customer needs throughout the sales and fulfillment process.
• Identify recurring customer needs and installed-base trends that could create additional aftermarket opportunities.
• Travel to customer locations as needed, approximately 25%.

We're looking for someone who combines technical aptitude, strong customer communication, and a commercial mindset. You don't necessarily need to come from a traditional sales career if you've worked directly with customers and have an interest in moving further into technical sales.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Aftermarket or Spare Parts Sales
• Technical / Inside Sales
• Sales Engineering
• Applications Engineering
• Field Service or Service Engineering
• Technical Support within an industrial equipment environment

Ideal experience includes:

• Experience within industrial equipment, machinery, manufacturing, automation, or another engineered-product environment.
• Exposure to B2B sales, customer support, applications engineering, aftermarket, service, or another customer-facing technical function.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable preparing quotes and managing multiple customer requests and opportunities simultaneously.
• Strong follow-up skills with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Operations, and other internal teams.
• Experience with CRM and ERP systems; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Strong customer-service mindset with the ability to develop trusted, long-term relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in technical sales, aftermarket sales, applications engineering, service engineering, or a related industrial/manufacturing role preferred.
• More experienced technical sales and aftermarket professionals are also encouraged to apply.
